Thermal transfer is an emerging printing process, but it has only been imported from abroad for more than 10 years.

What is thermal transfer? Thermal transfer is a new method for printing patterns on products of various materials. It is especially suitable for making a small variety of personalized and customized products, as well as printing patterns containing full-color images or photos. The principle is to print the digital pattern through the printer with special transfer ink on the special transfer paper, and then use the special transfer machine to accurately transfer the pattern to the surface of the product at high temperature and high pressure to complete the product printing.

Thermal transfer printing methods are divided into two parts: “transfer film printing” and “transfer processing”. The transfer film printing adopts dot printing, and the patterns are pre-printed on the surface of the film. The printed patterns are rich in layers, colorful, and ever-changing. The color difference is small and the reproducibility is good. It can meet the requirements of the designers and is suitable for mass production. The transfer process uses the thermal transfer machine to process (heating and pressing) the beautiful pattern on the transfer film on the surface of the product. The ink layer and the surface of the product are integrated after forming, which is realistic and beautiful, which greatly improves the grade of the product.

Thermal transfer technology can use a variety of different transfer materials, the main ones are film transfer and sublimation transfer. The transfer paper transferred by the adhesive film contains gum, and then the gum pattern is printed on the surface of the product in a high-temperature and high-pressure manner. Imported transfer paper and ink, the printed gum pattern is very thin, and it is breathable, non-sticky, non-cracking, washable and does not fall off; unlike many domestic transfer papers, the printed gum pattern is thicker and often There are shortcomings of stickiness and cracking. There are many labels that are required to withstand the test of time, long-term invariance, long-term preservation of the text, no fading, no wear due to contact with solvents or deformation and discoloration due to higher temperatures, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to use a special material printing medium and printing materials to ensure these characteristics. The general inkjet printing technology cannot be achieved, and the laser printing cannot be completed. The effect of the needle and the original design cannot meet the requirements. Indian technology can meet these requirements.
